Why give?
We give as an act of worship and gratitude for God’s generosity to us. When we give, we are simply giving back to God a little of what we have received from Him.
Trinity’s Vision
“Living life to the full – showing and sharing Jesus to transform our neighbourhood”
Anyone who gives money to the church helps us to fulfil this vision of making Trinity a beacon of Christ’s life, hope, fellowship and love in Lower Earley, in an increasingly troubled and uncertain world – committed to seeking God’s will, serving Him as best we can and making the most of what is given. We welcome all your gifts, no matter how large or small – they will be used to support Trinity’s work, and are always gratefully received.
What does the Bible say about giving?
“Whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each one should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you” – 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” – Luke 6:38

The Parish Giving Scheme
A very helpful way for us to receive your regular donation is if you sign up to the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). This uses direct debits and is an efficient method both for those giving and for the church.
If you’d like to find out about donating this way, there’s lots of information about how it works on the PGS website and in the video below.
Once you are ready to set up a payment, you can do this easily online by clicking the button below and following the on-screen instructions.
You can also set up a payment by calling the PGS New Donor hotline – 0333 002 1271. You will need your bank account details, the church name and the relevant scheme reference, as follows:
Trinity Church – ref 270627862
You will be asked whether your gift will be eligible for Gift Aid, and also if you wish to increase it annually in line with inflation.
Alternatively, you can set up a donation by downloading and printing a form here which you can complete and post to PGS.
To amend an existing donation, you should call 0333 002 1260 – this can also be done online providing PGS have a valid email address for you.
Give as You Live – some new ways to raise money for Trinity
Give as You Live is a service which allows you to generate a small donation (at no cost to yourself) every time you shop, whether online or in person.
For online shopping, every time you buy something via Give as You Live Online, the retailer receiving your order will make a small donation to the charity of your choice. With over 5000 companies involved, there’s no shortage of choice, whether you’re buying a birthday card or doing your online grocery shopping. You can also compare insurance policies and book holidays, among many other options.
If you prefer shopping in person, or you need a present for someone who has everything, you may like to consider buying a payment card via Give as you Live Instore. They supply cards for all kinds of retailers, including everyday grocery cards for all the big supermarkets and gift cards for High Street shops and restaurants – every time you buy or top up a card, the retailer will make a donation exactly as if you were shopping online.
Either way there is no cost to you at all, so if you’re interested, click one of the links below to find out more.
