Volunteers

Like most churches Trinity needs, relies on, and, hopefully, appreciates sufficiently a whole bunch of committed volunteers. There are obviously many different volunteering roles. Some of these simply require a willingness “to do”. Others require the discerning of both the volunteer and the church leadership as to whether it’s right for someone to take on a role. At Trinity we are interesting mix of trying to balance being democratic with allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and lead. We believe in both the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit. We are particularly concerned to fill the following vacancies. Keep an eye out, there may be others:

We will vote to fill the following positions at our Church Meeting on  Sunday 20 January 2019

Christian Aid Officer – will organise Trinity’s Christian Aid activity, for example a house to house collection in May

Gift Aid Representative – one of Trinity’s largest revenue streams is the collection of Gift Aid (retrieving tax paid on donations) which requires a claim to be submitted every quarter by the Gift Aid representative

Church of England Secretary – representing Church Council by attending local Church of England meetings and reporting back to the Trinity community generally as necessary. Looking after all administration links with the Anglican church on behalf of Church Secretary

Sacristan – responsible for ensuring the adequate provision of consumables related to sacraments and other similar activities such as candles, alcoholic and non alcoholic wine. Ensuring the church has adequate quantities of catering consumables to support fellowship activities with the local community and church family
