Volunteers

 

Like most churches Trinity needs, relies on, and, hopefully, appreciates sufficiently a whole bunch of committed volunteers. There are obviously many different volunteering roles. Some of these simply require a willingness “to do”. Others require the discerning of both the volunteer and the church leadership as to whether it’s right for someone to take on a role. At Trinity we are interesting mix of trying to balance being democratic with allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and lead. We believe in both the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.We are particularly concerned to fill the following vacancies. Keep an eye out, there may be others:

 

Christian Aid Representative

2 Deanery Synod Representatives

Safeguarding Officer

Assistant Safeguarding Officer

Gift Aid Representative

Assistant Treasurer

 

 

Christian Aid Representative - will organise Trinity's Christian Aid efforts (eg a local house-to-house collection in May)

Deanery Synod Representatives - attend around 4 Deanery Synod Meetings a year. Report back to Church Council with any relevant information affecting the Trinity community

Assistant Safeguarding Officer - wokr with the safegurading officer to manage Trinity's responsibilities with ensuring vulnerable adults and chidren are safe at Trinity, ensuring appropriate people are CRB checked. .

Gift Aid Representative – one of Trinity's largest revenue streams is the collection of Gift Aid (retrieving tax paid on donations), but that requires a claim to be submitted every quarter by the gift aid rep.

Assitant Treasurer - help the treasurer with managing the finances - esp with the Sunday collections. (eg counting, banking, reporting
